Physics based Interactive demonstrations

Physics Department, Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala organized an interactive lecture demonstration for the students to explain the fundamental theoretical aspects of Physics. Prof. M. S. Marwah former Principal GGS College, Sector 26, Chandigarh was the chief guest and main demonstrator in this series. He demonstrated the complex and rigid complexities of physics with such an ease that it looks more like a fun than complex phenomena.

The major experiments demonstrated by him were “Fire Tornado”, Pseudo Forces”, “Van De Graff Generator”, “Interference” and “Diffraction of Polarization”.

College Principal Dr. Khushvinder Kumar congratulated the department of Physics for organizing such innovative series on science and insured that college will continue to hold such programmes for the benefit of students.

A student Neeraj Gupta, BSc (Non-Medical) said that this was an eye-opener for me. Another student Dhanvi, BSc appreciated this demonstration and said that it has revived my interest in the subject and I am thankful to my department for this programme.

On this occasion, College Principal facilitated the Chief Guest. Dr. Kavita, Dr. Pooja, Prof. Sadhu Singh, Prof. Hemlata, Prof. Harpreet Kaur, Prof. Bharti Heena and Prof. Taranvir Kaur from Physics department worked hard to make this programme a success.

 

ਸਥਾਨਕ ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੇ ਭੌਤਿਕ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਅੱਜ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਪ੍ਰੈਕਟੀਕਲ ਸੀਰੀਜ਼ ‘ਮੇਕਿੰਗ ਫਿਜ਼ੀਕਸ ਫਨ’ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੌਤਿਕ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਦੇ ਮੁਢਲੇ ਸਿਧਾਤਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਥਿਊਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰੈਕਟੀਕਲ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਕਰਕੇ ਦਿਖਾਉਣਾ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਵਕਤਾ ਦੇ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਐਮ.ਐਸ. ਮਰਵਾਹਾ, ਜੀ.ਜੀ.ਐਸ. ਕਾਲਜ, ਸੈਕਟਰ 26, ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ ਨੇ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲਿਆ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਰਲ ਤਰੀਕੇ ਨਾਲ ਭੌਤਿਕ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਤੇ ਗੁੰਝਲਦਾਰ ਸਿਧਾਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਿਆਖਿਆ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਜਰਬਿਆਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਸਿੱਖਣ ਲਈ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਦਿਖਾਏ ਗਏ ਕੁਝ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਪ੍ਰਯੋਗ ਸਨ “Fire Tornado”, Pseudo Forces”, “Van De Graff Generator”, “Interference” ਅਤੇ “Diffraction of Polarization”.

ਕਾਲਜ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਖੁਸ਼ਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਦਾ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਕਰਦਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਵੀਆਂ ਖੋਜਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਤਜਰਬਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜਦੇ ਹਨ। ਅਜਿਹੇ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਭੌਤਿਕ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਵਧਾਈ ਦਾ ਪਾਤਰ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਜਾਰੀ ਰੱਖੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ।

ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਨੀਰਜ ਗੁਪਤਾ, ਬੀ.ਐਸ.ਸੀ. ਨਾਨ ਮੈਡੀਕਲ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਸੀਰੀਜ਼ ਤੋਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਕੁਝ ਨਵਾਂ ਸਿੱਖਣ ਦਾ ਮੌਕਾ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਹੈ, ਇਕ ਹੋਰ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣ ਧਾਨਵੀ, ਬੀ.ਐਸ.ਸੀ. (ਕੰਪਿਊਟਰ ਸਾਇੰਸ) ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਭੌਤਿਕ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਹੋਰ ਵੀ ਸੌਖਾ ਅਤੇ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਵਿਸ਼ਾ ਭਾਸਣ ਲੱਗ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਭੌਤਿਕ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਤੋਂ ਡਾ. ਕਵਿਤਾ, ਡਾ. ਪੂਜਾ, ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਸਾਧੂ ਸਿੰਘ, ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਹੇਮਲਤਾ, ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਹਰਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਕੌਰ, ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਤਰਨਵੀਰ ਕੌਰ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਭਾਰਤੀ ਹਿਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਸਨ।
